Three Boys & an Old Lady

This blogging mama loves finding new things and spreading the word about fab finds

Ebeanstalk is a website dedicated to selecting great developmental toys for kids. They have a team of moms and a team of child experts that help them pick out the best toys by age, so you can be sure your child gets toys that have been specifically matched to his or her age!

Ebeanstalk is a fabulous resource for all things toys. The website is bright and inviting and entices one to come and play awhile.

As adults, we may go to the office every day to work, but play is a child’s job.  Ebeanstalk reminds us play helps children develop physically and mentally.  eBeanstalk offers developmental toys for kids of all ages. A feature that distinguishes ebeanstalk from other websites featuring toys is its panel of parents and child specialists.  The child specialists include a Speech Language Pathologist, physical and occupational therapists, pediatrician and a behavioral specialist.  Each of these professionals offers further insight into the development of children at various ages and stages.

The ebeanstalk website is easy to navigate and visitors can find age appropriate toys in a couple of clicks.  Viewers can select toys by age, sex of the child or bestsellers.  For example, if you are looking for the perfect toy for a 3 year old boy.  Click on the word ‘boy’ beneath the 3 year old heading on the right side.  If you are looking for the hottest toy for 7-8 year olds.  Click on the word ‘hottest’ beneath the 7-8 year old heading.  One click and a page loads with several toy recommendations including price, informational data, and a crisp, clear image of the toy.

Despite the easy navigation of the website, ebeanstalk may want to consider increasing the font size and using color to differentiate between categories of age, sex and bestseller as the left side of the screen is crowded.  Perhaps a pink bullet for girls, a blue bullet for boys and a red bullet for best selling toys.  An increased font size would make the website much easier to read.

Considering the hundreds and hundreds of toy images and product reviews, the page loaded quickly.  The links worked well and directed readers quickly to the desired page.
