Three Boys & an Old Lady

This blogging mama loves finding new things and spreading the word about fab finds

I believe in supporting companies that do good.  Seventh Generation is such a company.  Seventh Generation offers products I can trust and it’s a company doing good in the community.
I was introduced to Seventh Generation a few years ago when Hubby and the youngest of Los Tres Amigos experienced a reaction to the laundry products I was using. Naturally, no pun intended, this old lady tried some of those “free” products.  However, I found them to just as irritating to my family’s sensitive skin and just as “perfume-y” as the original.
What an honor to be considered to review Seventh Generation’s products.  In exchange for my review I received the Free and Clear Starter kit to review.

The kit contained the following items:
  • Disinfecting Multi-Surface
  • Disinfecting Bathroom
  • Disinfecting Wipes – 35 ct.
Please note: The Disinfectants have Thymol sent (from Thyme oil). These are NOT considered free & clear, but they are great for immune-depressed households or those with small children. The scent dissipates quickly.
  • Laundry Detergent – Free & Clear 32 oz
  • Liquid Fabric Softener – Free & Clear 40 oz
  • Dish liquid
  • All- Purpose Cleaner
  • Auto-Dish Pacs
  • Glass Cleaner
  • Natural Paper Towels
  • Seventh Generation Recycled Bag
I love all of the products and found them to be way better than the old baking soda, vinegar, kitchen chemistry we’ve all heard about.  The products had a nice, clean fragrance and here’s the kicker…they WORK!
The laundry detergent and fabric softener left all of our clothes fresh, soft and clean.  I fell in love with the disinfecting wipes.  I use another brand of disinfecting wipes and they have a very, heavy chemical smell so I don’t let los tres amigos use them.  However, I felt comfortable letting los tres amigos use the Seventh Generation Disinfecting Wipes to wipe off the icky, sticky kitchen table after meal times and clean up their messy spills.  I used them to wipe the door knobs, bathroom counter, light switches and all the places their little germy hands touch.
My fave of these fab products is the Automatic Dishwasher Detergent pacs.  LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this product!
Have those of you with dishwashers ever tried dishwasher packs?  You ever experienced a problem with the pack not dissolving in your dishwasher?  I have and was very pleased that every time I used the Seventh Generation Automatic Dishwasher Detergent Pacs they completely dissolved leaving no residue on my dishes.  With los tres amigos around hubby and I don’t use a lot of glassware but I was pleased that my glasses were clean and I didn’t have to rinse them again.  Just a little FYI, Seventh Generation has a Rinse Aid product available for those who desire such.  As a mom, however, the most fab feature of Seventh Generation’s dishwashing products is that they are free of chlorine and phosphates.
