Three Boys & an Old Lady

This blogging mama loves finding new things and spreading the word about fab finds

I love this time of year.  The selection of fresh produce is outstanding!  Yesterday I picked up some nectarines from the market and couldn’t wait to put them on the grill.  If you haven’t tried grilled fruit, you are missing out on a fab way to enjoy fresh fruit.

Although you can grill them outdoors and enjoy the smoky flavors grilling offers, if you have one a grill pan you can enjoy this quick and easy meal.

  • 3 nectarines, rinsed and cut into halves
  • salt and pepper
  • Your fave olive oil [I prefer extra virgin]
  • 4 skinless, boneless chicken breasts OR 4 pork tenderloins

Directions (Outdoor Grilling or on the stove grilling):

  1. While grill is heating, sprinkle salt and pepper on nectarine halves and place on grill.  Cook till charred.  About 5 minutes.  Turn once. Grill till charred.  About 5 minutes.
  2. Remove nectarines from grill and place on plate.
  3. Drizzle olive oil on both sides of chicken breasts or pork tenderloins and season with salt and pepper.
  4. Place on grill and cook till brown.  About 6-7 minutes per side.  Turn once.
  5. Remove from grill.

Serve 1/2 nectarine and 1 serving of meat with fave salad or side item.
