You see a beautiful picture of the great outdoors
I see a reminder that I have to change the date on
my camera every single time I change the batteries.

Note to self:  Don’t date stamp vacation pics.

I love vacation.  Not just summer vacation, but spring break, winter getaways and fall flings.  I believe in getting away from it all.  Yesterday I was speaking with a friend and she told me she and her family went camping.  I had to laugh out loud as this is one of my best friends and I would have loved to have been there when the mosquito repellent wore off and the sun set.  I bet it was hilarious!

Hubby, Los Tres Amigos and I haven’t taken our big vacation yet this summer.  We’re still undecided between a couple of spots including a mountain retreat or a visit to the grandparents.

In the meanwhile, here are a few pics from our Spring getaway.

Where are you headed this summer?  Or, where have you vacationed this summer?  I’d love to hear!

Christmas in July?
It’s been so wickedly warm
this summer that the visions of sugar plums dancing in my head are the only thing keeping me cool.  [Smile}

The eldest of Los Tres Amigos took these pics while at the park.  We were so pleased with the first couple of shots that we zoomed in a little closer.  I don’t mean to sound like the doting mom, but not too shabby wouldn’t you agree?  The “morel” of the story is ‘every thing IS beautiful…in it’s own way” [I couldn’t resist that joke]

Just one of the pics I took during our recent trip to the U.S. Space Camp Center located in Huntsville, Alabama.  Seeing these tall rockets and watching starry-eyed 5th graders made me flash back to when I was younger and wanted to go to the moon.  I still wonder what’s beyond the sky…don’t you?

If you look closely you can see the tiny spider that designed her web in the leaves of this beautiful plant.

The web was massive and didn’t photograph well but what an awesome sight.
